Constructive Rest Position

- supine with knees bent and feet flat on the floor hip-width apart, arms resting on the abdomen or out to the sides, whole body passively supported by the floor
- End
- same supported supine position sustained with muscular guarding released; attention directed to interoceptive sensation — no active movement
- Range of Motion
- passive/isometric rest — minimal joint excursion
How to Perform
Supine with knees bent and feet flat on the floor, arms resting on the abdomen or out to the sides. No active effort — let gravity and the breath do the work. Used to reduce muscular guarding and facilitate interoceptive awareness.
