How to Perform

Using a Thera-Band FlexBar, perform eccentric wrist extension for lateral epicondylalgia. The landmark Tyler et al. (2010) RCT showed DASH improved 76% vs 13% (p=0.01), VAS improved 81% vs 22% (p=0.002), and strength improved 79% vs 15% (p=0.011) over 7-8 weeks.

Research Notes

AUDIT[medium]: Extensor carpi radialis longus is listed as the primary target for lateral epicondylalgia, but the muscle pathologically implicated in tennis elbow / lateral epicondylalgia and the principal target of eccentric FlexBar loading is extensor carpi radialis brevis (ECRB), which is not listed at all. ECRB already exists in the shard roster. → Add extensor-carpi-radialis-brevis as the primary muscle (or co-primary with ECRL) and reword the ECRL note to secondary/synergist to match the lateral-epicondylalgia rationale.
