Positions & Range of Motion

seated tall, hips and pelvis square facing forward, both hands placed on the opposite knee
End
upper body rotated toward one side with the pelvis staying square, eyes following the turn to add cervical rotation
Range of Motion
thoracic (with added cervical) axial rotation to comfortable end range, pelvis fixed

How to Perform

Sit tall, hands on opposite knee. Gently rotate the upper body toward that side, keeping hips and pelvis square forward. Trains thoracic rotation in a desk-compatible posture.

Rotatores (Thoracis)Downgraded from primary: rotatores are small deep segmental muscles producing minimal rotational torque and acting largely as proprioceptive/segmental stabilizers, not prime movers. The obliques drive rotation.
