Positions & Range of Motion

standing tall, feet together, ready to step forward into a lunge
End
in the bottom of a forward lunge (front knee tracking over the toes, back knee near the floor) with the trunk rotated toward the front leg, then returned before stepping through to the next lunge
Range of Motion
large hip and knee flexion of the lunge combined with thoracic rotation toward the lead leg; alternating stepping gait

How to Perform

Step into a forward lunge. At the bottom, rotate the trunk toward the front leg, then return. Step the back foot forward to begin the next lunge on the other side. Integrates lower-body load with thoracic mobility.
