Positions & Range of Motion

fully upright standing on top of the box, working hip and knee extended, trailing toe lightly kissing the box or floor
Range of Motion
working knee moves from ~90° flexion to full extension with concurrent hip extension through the full step height (4–30 cm)

How to Perform

Stepping onto box from different directions. Lateral at 60% 5RM: VL 52.8%, VM 50.4%, glute med 42.8%. Standard: highest glute max/hamstrings. Crossover: highest glute med concentric. Step height matters: 8-inch VM 60% vs 4-inch 24% MVIC. In elderly, 30 cm step matches 60% 1RM resistance exercise.
